5-0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal Deck
If you want divination from your deck, look somewhere else. This pack is all about learning to be comfortable with uncertainty. I don't know that any deck can truly divine your future anyway; what I do know is that every time I pull out my Osho Tarot, I learn something valuable, precious, challenging and meaningful. Put aside your expectations of what Tarot is meant to do and live a little. Lovely, lovely deck.

I have been reading this a little at a time for about the past couple months.Very good, very wonderful ideas.Osho is a very inspirational person, who teaches in a clear, concise way so that anyone may understand. He is a truly spiritual and beautiful person.

5-0 out of 5 stars Change
This world is in need of a deep change, and through tantra, we can all unite and live as we are ..naturally.The first few chapters of this book changed my life in a matter of days (and I've bareley tried any of the tecniques).Through it i realized that there is no such thing as something being bad (bad energy, thoughts, actions). They just are holy, something from god, that you soudln't deny but embrace as your own, and through it you will accept yourself and all as the all powerful and all mighty, no matter what society may say about what is right or wrong.I have never read a book that has changed me so much, and has helped me to understand my life.

5-0 out of 5 stars A unique view
Osho has a unique view on things, a type of view you won't likely find somewhere else, so for this reason alone it is good to study some of his work.

it's a must for everyone. Osho, one of the many great gifts life has given us.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Positive
I felt a sense of relief after reading this book. It's very positive and uplifting and very funny at times. It allows you to see your limitless potential instead of instilling a guilt-ridden, "I am a sinner" mentality.

5-0 out of 5 stars Inspirational! One of the best self help books I've ever read
I read a lot of self-help books.I had read that Osho is a contraversial figure, often accused of being a preachy spiritual quack. This may be true.He does ramble on and interject his teachings with stories (and even jokes!) that don't really support his points. He does seem to like to listen to himself talk.

3-0 out of 5 stars Osho?Never heard of him...
I was directed to this book by a friend at work who said the book helped her with intimate relationships. I am a Christian, so I was a little leary of "venturing out" of the ordinary authors to find advice on intimacy.I found a lot of what Osho said about intimacy very sensible, realistic, and applicable to most all people who have problems with becoming intimate with others.I would recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their chances with others in an intimate relationship.

5-0 out of 5 stars After reading it myself.. I bought more copies for family and friends
Osho is the greatest, and this is one of my favorite books of his teachings. He is so wise, and helps in so many different ways for me to see the ego I am living in which makes me anxious, gives me shallow thinking and breathing, and prevents me from seeing the world as it really is, ie. in the present moment, instead of colored by the past, or by thoughts of the future.
1-0 out of 5 stars very disappointing

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for healthy relationships
This book describes and educates what a healthy long term love relationship looks and feels like. Many people do not have any idea.Instead of wanting a relationship out of "neediness" people can experience a "fullness to share."

5-0 out of 5 stars Hopeless romantic? Try not to read this book......
I haven't finished reading this book (3/4 of the way), but i decided to give back to the community that has assisted me so much with my choice of books..... that and Amazon have a new 'bullying' system of getting reviews out of customers. Anyway, this book is really an eye opener. All the ideas of love that i got from books, films and even my parents now seem so silly and strange- like, where did they get them from? Osho explores what the general public see as love (romantic love), and another love that gives the impression of being a religious love at the get-go (i say that because i've always seen 'unconditional love' as something for the saints and celibates only), but is actually the most important love that we actually need in our lives. A selfish love thatis actually unselfish. I wonder how relationships would be if we all possessed this type of love for ourselves..... would we even waste our time on relationships? Probably, not if they're the type that bring attachment. Osho discusses why most relationships and marriages are doomed from the beginning. "Let there be spaces in your togetherness"- very deep quote. He does not bring an authoritarian tone to any aspect of love; all he wants us to have is understanding..... understand the laws of existence and then do what you want.
5-0 out of 5 stars Pure Delight
The book is beautiful, read it and delight in it. Don't take it seriously, rather drink it up. It is in prose (it is all transcribed talks), but leaves a distinct aftertaste of fine poetry. Besides, whatever Osho was, he was a genious in his knowledge of human psychology, and a master with words. It shows. $5 say anyone with a little attention will stumble across something eye-opening in this book.Read more

This is the first book I have read from Osho, and I will say that he did a very good job in explaining important things, using few words and pages. It is a little book that will not take you much time to read. What will take longer is thinking about the important points the book makes.5-0 out of 5 stars Sex is important for physical and mental well-being.

Fantastic book. I highly recommend it to any spiritual searcher or even just a casual reader.

5-0 out of 5 stars What Osho are you looking for?
I can't say in a thousand words what Osho means to me. I would say that Osho is a being that touches the unbelievable.5-0 out of 5 stars Intuition is not something that you buy ready-made
To have intuition you have to move into a higher level of consciousness and sensitivity. Otherwise, if you are half-sleep as the mayority of people are, it is impossible to understand intuition. Osho is very clear stating that intuition is not an intellectual pursuit or intellectual analysis made with your mind. You have to move beyond the mind, to the "witnessing consciusness" to contact a higher dimension. You cannot buy a book on intuition and expect to have it after you finish reading it. We in the West want everyting ready-made instant coffee. Intuition does not work that way. Osho tells us like it is and I am sorry if somebody is hurt. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So glad I bought this
Osho talks in plain clear words. There is no confusion here. No pretention, no complications. There are no theories, no convoluted rationalizations. Its just common sense talk. Sometimes we forget how to think in simple terms about our own free will. I highly recommend this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Change your life and change the world.
Simply put, you will find some of the most profound wisdom that exists in the world today. It is no suprise this author was called "The most dangerous man since Jesus Christ".

4-0 out of 5 stars the value of this text...
I think that the value in this book lies in the deviation of thought from anything mainstream. Even though you might not agree with everything or anything in this book, Osho guides you through a world of thought that many of us had not even heard of. It frees you from a way of thinking that we are used to every single day. A good book to pick up and gain perspective when the problems pile up one after another. You will gain a new way of looking at freedom and a new way to define freedom. And althought I doubt that I, or most other people that will pick up this book, will alter their lives significantly, there are many words of wisdon to pick up. Afterall, all that we need sometimes is a breath of fresh air. ... Read more

Creativity, Unleashing the Forces Within, Osho
3-0 out of 5 stars First Osho book
I'm in high school and this was the first Osho book and only book so far that I have read.It did help me understand how to think more creatively and has several great quotes that will leave you analyzing everything you do in your life from the day you put the book down.He encourages an open mind yet is very direct on his religious beliefs at times which may be hard for some people to get around.I'm not too religious myself, but I did enjoy the different spiritual interpretations and comparisons. His action vs. activity section will leave you asking yourself why you ever watch tv or do anything non-creative at all.It will motivate you to not only do more with your life, but also help you think more outside the box. He does like to repeat himself a little bit which I actually liked instead of a beginning to end straight and narrow approach.

Osho has a way with words in his Book of Understanding but the power of his words lies in the readers ability to think open mindedly and accept his unique approach in helping the reader find clarity of mind.Although the book may come across to some as a continuous bashing on religion, the worth of his knowledge lies in a person being able to see things from a distance rather than so close that the lines are blurred and the obvious easy overlooked. This book is a must read for anyone able to open their mind to new ways of radical thinking in an attempt to understand ourselves in a clearer and more defined way.
5-0 out of 5 stars Start with the Body
I highly recommend The Book of Understanding. It changed the way I meditate. In the Afterwords, the following quote was quite unique in suggesting that in meditation, I begin with the body:

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites growing up.
Originally my mom introduced me to this series because she thought I would enjoy it because it was from a guys perspective. Well she was right. I cant even count how many times I read through each of the books. I could always imagine being right there with him as he told his story. Eventually I was given this book collecting all four novels and again read through it over and over again. This being the only Janette Oke series I have read I cant really base it off of the other ones. But for me it was a great way to spend a rainy day or just any other time I felt like picking up a book.

3-0 out of 5 stars All right overall
Personally, I don't care for the way Janette Oke used the first-person style of writing, with a man as her main character. Her man just doesn't seem like a real man, mainly because he acts and thinks along the same lines as Janette's women do in her other books.Overall, it was a mistake for her to use a guy to tell the story- I think the books would have been vastly better if Janette had used a girl's perspective.5-0 out of 5 stars Seasons Series
I am an avid fan of Janette Oke, and have read every thing she has published. This is indeed a wonderful series, with descriptive scenes and true romance. If you haven't tried this one--give it a chance-it is a beautiful story. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love Comes Softly series
I read this series about a year ago and I still talk about it! At first,it was was kind of hard for me to get into it because of the way the characters talked. After a while,it just grows on you and you don't even notice...that is how good the story is. This series is wonderful if you want to read a wonderful love story with great spiritual lessons. This series made me stop and think about what God has done for me and how I can thank Him through everyday little things. I am one of those people who if you are constantly preaching in my face I get nothing out of it,but this was great! Mrs.Oke knows how to deliver a wonderful message without "stepping on toes" if you know what I'm saying. Through this series you grow up with these characters and become so attached to them that when you finish you are almost sad! After I read this I started reading more of her series and they are just as great!!! I HIGHLY recommend this series and author!

5-0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed it!
Love Comes Softly is a great book. It's the story of young Marty Davis who comes west with Aaron Claridge, her husband. When her husband is killed in a fall from a horse, Marty is trapped in a wild, strange world - alone. And she's with child. When Clark Davis offers her a roof over her head, food to eat, and a passage east in the spring, in exchange for caring for his daughter, she accepts out of desperation and need. They marry (this is 150 years ago) and eventually fall in love.
3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Story
This is good reading. The idea of a woman being forced (by her circumstances) into a convience marriage to a man she does not KNOW -let alone LOVE -is julting. But the relationship which, little by little, grew up between them was delightful to see. Clark was so sweet! He always seemed to know the right thing to say to poor Marty. And little Missy was adorable. My favorite part was when Marty decided to make fried chicken for supper. Easier said than done!(laugh) P.S. Watch the movie, too! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Boston offers excitement, and maybe love, but why does she feel so unhappy inside?
Belinda Davis, the youngest daughter of Marty and Clark, is offered a job as a private nurse to an elderly woman from Boston's high society. Belinda jumps at the chance, as a way to rid herself of two fairly unwelcome suitors, and as a chance to stretch her wings and see if she can fly. She even becomes interested in the wealthy woman's nephew, but can he see past her poverty? And why does unhappiness and discontentment plague her?
5-0 out of 5 stars I loved this story
I loved this book. It was such a fun and sweet story.

4-0 out of 5 stars Belinda's story - her job, her life and her loves.
Belinda is featured in this seventh book of the series. Her brother, Dr. Luke has trained her well and she is working full time as his nurse. Her job takes a twist when a wealthy, elderly socialite suffers a stroke on the train and must be taken off and cared for in their small town. After the critical period, Belinda then becomes a private duty nurse in their small town.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Love's Long Journey
I tried to read this book three times and gave up after a few chapters. Then I decided I was going to read it from cover to cover, and I was delighted to find that the book picks up momentum as it goes along. It's like the first few chapters your'e pushing uphill, and all of a sudden you arive at the top and . . . WHEEEEE!!!!!!! A wholesome, well written novel about a young couple starting a new life together in the West. Realistic - not a fairy tale - but a joy to read. If I had a complaint, it would be the polarization between the Christians and the non religious charactors. Missy is always feeling sorry for the lost people and thinking about how cold and hard their hearts are, and how they have problems. I am a Christian, and I feel it is important to share my faith with others, but it should be remembered that all people are created in a unique and special way - believers and unbelievers. There are very few people who are so sick they are just one lump of pain and problems. Also, I thought it was slightly annoying how Missy constantly sympathized with the trivial difficulties of her neighbors on the wagon train when she had just as bad or worse problems herself. Seems a bit like a saviour complex, to me. Having thus said, I enjoyed this book and would highly reccomend it to fans of Inspirational and historical fiction.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!(Though be warned it is not at all like the movie!):)
This is an excellent book from an excellent author! Janette Oke is one of my favorite authors and I was not disappointed in this book!It tells the story of Missie and Willie going West and making their home on a ranch away from everything Missie's ever known. It shows their struggles and triumphs, their mountains and valley's, their true life. Love Comes Softly is still my favorite book, but I enjoyed this book more than Love's Enduring Promise. A great read that is a must for any lover of Christian romance!
4-0 out of 5 stars Movie confused me..........still liked it
I started reading the books after i watched all 3 movies. The book was very different then the book. I cant say i was disappointed.I enjoyedreading this version. This book was about Missie's journey to the west, and what she went through to get there. How hard it must of been. I still recomend this book. Just dont go into it thinking it is like the movies. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Awareness To Transcend A Mundane Life
Osho writes with astounding accuracy and illumination where you will be brought awareness to wake up from a life filled with mundane existence, and move into the present moment in order to re-create the life you deserve. 3-0 out of 5 stars Sometimes helpful, sometimes false and annoying
Osho has a very good logical sensibility and makes many wonderful and helpful points about developing awareness. Some of his points are simply those that have been repeated in many books on meditation and mindfulness, but others are helpful in their unique insight. I found his points on "Centering" and "Tension and Relaxation" to be very helpful, and enjoyed many of the thoughts scattered throughout the book, such as a beautiful passage on "rising in love" as opposed to "falling in love."
