Large Print Compared to older micro print Bibles
I like the Bible I received, but it can hardly be considered "large print." If you compare it to older micro print (8 point font) bibles, then it could be considered large print. I was expecting more like 14 point font. I'll keep it and use it, but it is still difficult to read. I'm only fifty but have been visually impaired since age three.

Misleading title: Large print barely larger than normal prin
As others have mentioned, and I'll mention again, the font is just _barely_ larger than you'll find in a normal book.It's not the two- or three-times larger font we were expecting.(Pretty disappointing, considering my dad misses reading his Bible since his eyesight went bad...)I highly recommend the dramatized readings of the bible, having bought one myself (and, happily, was able to lend to my dad when his eyesight went bad). ... Zondervan Has Done It Again!
As a former publisher of Christian material, a comprehensive study Bible was essential to my profession.Although I have several Bibles, this one with the large print is definitely one of my favorites.

Best Currently Available
I have used many different translations over the year.Most are pretty good, some are excellent.The NIV, in my opinion, is the best combination of accuracy and readability currently available.The Study Notes, maps, etc., are very useful.

In response to another reviewer: Of course the average Japanese has a hard time understanding the specialized vocabulary and concepts of this rather literal translation. His culture is telling him very different things than what the Bible teaches and he is not familiar with the history and culture of the Bible.This translation (ISBN#4820212117) is the New Interconfessional (Shin Kyodoyaku) produced by the Japan Bible Society in cooperation with the Roman Catholic Church in Japan. It is used in most main-line Protestant churches and Catholic churches in Japan. If you want an easy-to-understand version for the man on the street, try the Japanese Living Bible. And, Oh Yes, there IS a manga Bible. See the Manga Bible Story-Japanese.

A good first step?
Thank you for making a Japanese bible!But we need an updated translation.A japanese friend of mine (who grew up in Japan) flipped thruogh this bible, and said the language was hard to read, and there were words she didn't recognize.What we really need is a Magna version of the bible.That is what everyone grows up reading, that is what they are used to reading, that is the style of literature they are comfortable with.Is anyone doing such a thing?How bout it, JBS?

This is an excellent book. Joyce Meyer made it so simple and easy to understand. She used her own personal experiences which makes you feel that her recommendations are realistic and effective.You can totally relate to this book.I highly recommend this book.

As a senior I have difficulty reading small print and therefore ordered the above item.But I find it also difficult to read because, though the print is larger than usual, the lines are too close to each other, with very little space in between. A solid, quality Bible
First of all, the New American Standard Bible is a wonderful translation; the updated version made it even better. Zondervan puts their NASB text in paragraph form, unlike the Foundation's editions. This does add to the ease of reading and comprehension.
