Good book.
The book is amazing, fantastic, and insightful. However, be careful with the HARDCOVER that is says it is. This book does not come in hardcover, it is genuine leather, but it is soft cover. That's the only negative remark I have. The book itself is great. ... Read more

The best BIBLE devotional that I have EVER found!
I have been a born again believer now for over 22 years, and have continually failed to maintain a consistent, daily walk with Christ through reading the Bible..I was fine with joining Bible studies, or just hearing the Word on Sunday mornings, but have always struggled by finding anything that was relevant and easy to understand on a daily basis.....until this book. This book will change my life by allowing me to DAILY read the scripture and applying its truths to my life!

Excellent Bible study
Highly recommend, These are small, easy to manage lessons that dig deep.If you want a Bible study that will leave you thinking, this is the one for you.

This is the Bible I use most!
This is the study Bible that I use more than any other.It provides concise introductions and outlines for each book of the Bible and excellent comentaries on passages.Highly recommended!
The NKJV for very, very Beginners
I'm a beginner in regards to 'actually' reading and attempting to understand each and every word in the Bible. And the relationships to other words and passages are truly amazing.
Good, but still looking
I'm still looking for that perfect Bible for my primary use! I like the KJV Study Bible by Zondervan, but happen to prefer the NKJV so I bought this Bible, hoping for extensive reference like my old study bible. I haven't had this Bible for that long, but I already know I still need to find that perfect everyday bible. Maybe I'll just stick w/ my KJV!

Excellent Catholic Bible study for new to experienced
I have attended and led various Bible studies for 14 years. For a long time our group couldn't even find a Catholic study, especially one that met the needs of the various levels of experience of the people attending the study. This study is very well done, it suits the experienced and the first timers. It is obedient to the teachings of the church. The study's commentaries are excellent!

A Great Study Guide
I'm a pastor who uses this study guide in my Galatians Small Group, and sometimes for sermon exegesis.One of the great things about this guide is that Stott asks a lot of great questions which build on each other.For a bible study leader, his questions are excellent discussion starters.Some of the most penetrating questions we have dealt with in our study of Galatians have come straight out of this guide.

This book is a study manual for small groups. John Stott adds comments from his own study as well as pointers from the meaning of Greek words. A teacher or study leader can use these pointers to foster deeper understanding and conversation about the texts under consideration.

Fundamentalist diet guidance
I did not enjoy this book - it is very "Fundamentalist", which is fine if you are a Christain Fundamentalist - however, if you are not, then it's probably not the book for you!

Highly Recommended
This short book on Bible themes is an excellent way to start off the study of theology. It is very practically oriented and doesn't get into heavy technical phrasing. Easy to understand and straight to the point. Packer is one teacher/pastor who can get right to the heart of the matter with the least amount of words. This straight-to-the-point style of writing is a feature most people will find attractive. I would recommend this book for bible study at the high school or college level. Due to Packer's theological orientation towards the Anglican/Reformed/Puritan tradition there are some minor points I will disagree with (I'm a dispensationalist). Summer Bible Study
I was very impressed with this bible study. Our women's group is going to be making these books during our study learning time this summer. Usually we stop study learning after May but after seening my book they decided to continue on this summer and use this as a study learning guide.
