What is Jesus to you?
For me He was out of reach. God, Holy Spirit, Mary, they were 'known' to me. But Jesus? Since I read this book, starting with Paper 126, He came alive to me.
Review of Urantia book
I've just begun to read this book; it is a very large book with a lot to read. It's obviously written by "beings" of very great intelligence; my only question is whether the book and its authorship are authentic or not. An article, part of which I'd read, by a mathematician, convinced me that this book might be authentic. Another very intelligent person told me that it was part of a massive CIA disinformation project. I don't know the answer to this question. If it is authentic, it's modern day prophecy and revelation by the Elohim of the Old and New Testaments and QUR'AN, and I see no reason why this could not/should not occur nowadays, as it did in times past. If it is a massive CIA disinformation project, this should definitely be known; this is imperative! If it is authentic, it's probably one of the most important books in the world, because it is modern day prophecy. There's no question that the "authorship" is extremely intelligent, and this is what makes me think it could be true; I don't think the CIA could put something together like this by itself. If the CIA put it together, did it do so with the help of Lucifer? The CIA apparently doesn't work with Elohim, but apparently does work with Lucifer at some levels; this is very important to know.

Revelation and Resolution
The Urantia Book is a unique and extraordinary religious text with an equally remarkable and intriguing history. The massive tome, 1814 pages in the Uversa Press edition, is divided into four parts comprised of 196 Papers that address a myriad of topics that may interest and challenge even the most advanced reader. Parts I and II offer the most sophisticated and detailed cosmology ever presented in the English language. Part III is a history of the planet. Part IV, titled "The Life and Teachings of Jesus," is far more comprehensive than New Testament records. And there's the rub, or one of them. The Urantia Book's authors present a meticulous, far more complete, and, to many readers who have studied it, a thoroughly convincing account of Jesus' life, religion, teachings, and times. (Ever wondered where Jesus was and what he was doing during "the missing years"?) This expanded account of Jesus' life and teachings, though it confirms much of the New Testament record of the same life and teachings and many of the New Testament's authors' recollections, offends some traditional Christians. Inerrantists are likely to find The Urantia Book to be highly politically incorrect. Some people have found the Book's teachings about race to be provocative. Some long-time readers have supposed that the book's troubled history--it was the subject of a legal dispute over copyright ownership for several years--is a direct result of its candid discussion of two inherently controversial topics, religion and race. Others have said that the book has been the target of a quiet campaign of suppression. The fact that the Urantia Foundation, the original publisher, de-listed the Book with booksellers in the early 1990s and engaged in a series of legal actions against enthusiastic readers tends to support that assertion and lends credibility to those who say that powerful religious and ethnic special interest groups have targeted the nascent community of Urantia Book readers for efforts designed to subvert and marginalize. All in all, while it probably won't strike the materialistically-minded reader as a thrilling page-turner, the Urantia Book is likely to impress or astonish open-minded truth seekers generally and to positively fascinate those who are looking for an expansive telling of the life and teachings of Jesus. a good primer
The U Book is often a difficult read for first timers, especially if they have had little preliminary discussion about its content."Introduction" presents some of the fundamentals contained in the revelation in an easy to grasp manner.If still interested, the reader can progress to the U Book itself.This is far better than frustrating a reader in the first 20 pages of The Urantia Book.

Explains a Lot
If you have read The Urantia Book and couldn't understand the first section, this is the book for you.It's brief, to the point, explains with maps and charts.
An Introduction to the Urantia Book
For someone who has just discovered the Urantia Book and may be overwhelmed by all the information it contains, this is an excellent introduction to the book.The author is very knowlegeable about the Urantia Book, and he highlights sections that are of particular interest to him.He uses many quotes from the Urantia Book and arranges the material in sections so that a reader can go to a specific topic that interests them.

believe it or not
I came across the Urantia Book in 1970 and have kept it with me ever since.I had always felt the presence of God in my life and at the same time had questions about life and the nature of realitythat were perplexing to say the least. The cosmological information that this book provided concerning religion, philosphy, and reason provided a frame work for me that worked then and continues to work today.The book is vast and at the same time quite simple.We are one family created by an infinite, loving, compassionate creator.This message is stated and restated in a variety of ways all throughout the book.Once this cosmic fact is realized, your life is changed forever.You can't go into a Subway an order a sandwich without realizing that the person across the counter is your brother or sister.Whether or not there are seven superuniverses or what the exact surface temperature of the sun really is, can be believed or not.It doesn't matter.The people who slam this book either haven't read it or have read it and completely missed its point.The Urantia Book isn't about doctrine or easy answers to the difficult situations we often find ourselves in.The idea that this book is somehow creating a cult is so absurd I laughed out loud.God has given us a mind.Love is the Way, and it's up to us to figure it out.

Interesting Bible
I originally bought this book for my sister, but my curiosity got the best of me. I opened it up and started reading sections about Jesus and was surprised to find it was written in easy to understand language and was a different but very plausible point of view. I was originally tured off by the Old Teastament version of this book until years later I was reading some of the Naj Hamaddi gospels and realized that there were some similarities to the ancient gospels in naj hammadi and this book. Whether you believe in the legitmacy of this book or not, you will come away with a very interesting read.

The OC Bible?
I picked up a copy of the Urantia Book about a year ago and have gone wading into it on several occasions. The book is somewhat enigmatic to me as it has a very futuristic feel, yet has a dedicated group of followers who hold it out as a Divinely inspired message. I've not regretted my decision to buy it although I find it difficult to say exactly what it is about it that keeps me coming back to read some more.

The fifth revelation
I really enjoyed the book by Kelly Elstrott. I listened to Kelly on a talk show one night and his insights inspired me to read the book and I'm glad I did. The book is a nice primer for the Urantia Book and I plan on abtaininga copy asap. My definition of a good book is one that inspires thought,reflection and the thirst for more. The fifth revelation falls into thiscategory nicely.

More middlemen!
Haven't we humans suffered enough at the hands of middlemen, those who presume to stand between us and God.Those who want to explain things to us because we're too lazy, stupid, etc., to get it own our own.I don'tneed anyone to tell me what I can get from The Urantia Book, and neithershould you.Are you going to have a personal religious experience withsomeone else's ideas about a book?I don't think so, and if you did, justthink what the real thing would do for you.The Urantia Book presents somany new and challenging ideas and concepts and information about so manythings, how are you going to judge its validity?The only way to be 100%convinced of ANYTHING is through a personal experience of it.Unless ofcourse, your the kind of person not likely to believe in or to be committedto anything, in which case nothing much really matters at all, does it. Don't deprive yourself of this message!
When I was first introduced to The Urantia Book a number of years ago, I was encouraged to look beyond the obstacle of authorship and judge the validity of it's message on it's content. The idea that the truth would "ring true" deep within my being was often expressed. I took this advice to heart, and as I immersed myself in it's pages, I was rewarded by a whole choir of bells ringing true within me. It pains me to think how many people out there are depriving themselves of this amazing message just because they can't deal with the possibility that the papers were authored by "superhuman beings". It really doesn't matter who wrote the papers at all, what matters is the message. I, for example, am writing this review. Very few people who read this actually know me, so the majority of you will have to ponder what I have written and take from it what you will. Why should any other message be any different? Bringing the Teachings of The Urantia Book to Life.
This is a wonderful addition to the Urantia Book.It gets down to the nitty-gritty of some of the teachings and adds practical advice to each of those teachings.You may not agree with all of its advice or with all ofits explanations of the teachings, however, you will agree that it is amust have for anyone on a spiritual journey. the last book

URANTIA CD; EXCELLENT/NEW CONDITION
CD ARRIVED IN MUCH EARLIER ARRIVAL TIME THAN ANTICIPATED. LOOKED AS IF I HAD JUST BOUGHT OUT OF A MUSIC STORE, PERFECT CONDITION AND RECEIVED ON OCT 1, 2 DAYS EARLIER THAN THE EARLIEST DAY PROMISED. The First Page is Wrong Wrong Wrong
There is no Father just Mother it is female look around blind men and see for the first time.If you really want answers to why, when, were and how.Nature is female not male.There is no male in the mix, creation is not male.It will be too late, but we'll just start over again like we've done many, many times before.

Learn to Hate God
Reading this book will make the indwelling spirit of God very distressed. But the rant and rave author gives a perfect lesson on how a person sounds when losing an augument in a debate. The book is mostly hate talk and insults. He could have distilled the main concept he presents to 30 pages of science. The Urantia Book mentions how they would treat science and anyone who gave it any thought would see this offering has not a leg to stand on. Spare God the trouble and do not waste your time or money on this so called refutation.

Wonderful Reading, but...
I have been a student of the Urantia Book for going on twenty years now and the Jesus papers are a wonderful read, but without the rest of the book as a tutorial, much of it will leave readers scratching their heads.Even a glossary of terms would prove inadequate.
MEET YOUR CREATOR
Although this book is only one-fourth of the entire Revelation presented in the Urantia Papers, it is the part that I think we can learn the most from. If you are a bible reader and already love Jesus, this book will be the equivalent to having The Master in your presence. Easy to carry around.

Most Revealing & Truthful Portrayal of Jesus' Life on Earth...

Mind blowing!
Whew!When I first picked this book up, I was a little intimidated--it is a channeled book that contains information from various divine sources.I'm not much into "woo-woo" literature, so I was torn between dismissing it as new age nonsense and cautiously embracing it as the real deal. Read this book and change your life!

The Book of the Millenium
I have been reading Le Livre d'Urantia for eighteen years. It has changed my life completly. This is THE answer we have all been looking for. It makes so much sense. This book is best in its class on spiritual excellence!
I have read this book many times over twenty five years. It gave added dimensions to my life as a Buddhist monk, and to my current life as a Christian minister. The book details a simple message of human sonship withGod, as lived and taught by Jesus of Nazareth, and sets it against abackdrop of the enormous spiritual potentials that exist throughout allexistence. I recommend it to anyone who wants more out of Christiantheology, and more of what is beyond Buddhist enlightenment experience. Atfirst the Urantia papers may be hard going, but if the reader persists andfinds their own pace, the spiritual fruits will absolutely astonish andfulfil.

this book does not explain the truth, if there is one
This book is quite dogmatic, gives a structure to the world that is not open-minding and tolerant... There are some good points, well explained, but most of the historical things are more inventions than reality.Moreover write that such beautiful beings as archange and others go down onthe earth to write such things so stupidily is amazing... Inspiring and Thought-Provoking
I found the Universal Religion to be amazingly easy to read, yet full of complex ideas laid out in a simple and clear manner. The book was inspiring and thought-provoking. I feel that I am a better person after having read the book. I thank the author, and hope he keeps up the good work!

A spiritually enriching book
I found The Universal Religion in a crucial moment in my life, when I was having serious problems at work and with close associates, and it helped me to transform myself as I saw myself in the wider context of my eternal career as a cherished son of God. For a long time I kept it on my bedside table because it was really enriching to read a passage every night. I even translated some parts into Spanish for my family and close friends and believe that the book should be translated into other languages. A very interesting book.
This is a good book to give to people who have a hard time with formal religion and need to know that God loves them. Make sure you get them familiar to the Urantia Book first though, otherwise it reads like a huge add for it, or a pre-UB recruitment book. Oh, and if you don't like the UB, stay away.
