Great book!
I suffer from both RA and Ankylosing Spondolitis.I found out through this program that I cannot eat wheat, milk or dairy products, eggs, sugar or coffee.When I'm good at sticking to it, I'm almost in complete remission.When I cheat, I pay for it. Within 20 minutes of consuming one of the above items, my fingers begin to swell and get stiff, and by the next morning I'm in a lot of pain. I have been able to stop taking the Methatrexate and Lodin which were very hard on the liver and destroyed my immune system.This is a really great program and it works if you have the discipline and self motivation to go through it and stick it out. If you are completely lazy and looking for an easy fix, this may not be for you.It's hard!It has been hard for me to give up coffee, Lucky Charms for breakfast, hot chocolate, cookies and some other comfort foods. But in the end I have a lot of new favorites, my inflamation and pain have disappeared, I've lost weight and my skin looks fabulous to boot. God bless Barbara Allan! She's an angel.

Not for Everyone
Maybe i'm being shortshighted, but i feel as if the many concessions i already have to make with this disease are hard enough to incorporate into my daily life, without also including such intense dietary changes.I work full-time, including travel and client entertainment making it very difficult to always control every morsel i consume.also, don't share the author's background and early diagnosis symptoms.Mine are coming more slowly and i am entrusting my treatment and long-term care to my Rheumy.Sort of wish I had spent the money on a good yoga or meditation tape instead.

A Must Have Book for People with Chronic Health Problems

Words of Khrisna
I am going to buy this book and read it. I am going to compare it to the New Testament writings. I will compare the words of Khrisna with the words ofChrist. Which words have the path of salvation in them and which words are a lie? This question is of all others the most important.
A scholarly yet readable translation makes BG relevant today
No wonder this is the best-selling translation of this Indian classic work! Easwaran gives a full introduction, putting the Gita into the context of the literature and traditions of the time, and showing how it relates to modern philosophy. Sanskrit concepts that are quite difficult to translate into English are explained carefully, as is the relationship with Yoga. The translation itself is vivid and convincing, and the book is cleverly divided, with each chapter preceded by a clear explanation of the difficult concepts to come in that chapter.

Required For Any Library of Eastern Theology!
This slim volume in my opinion, should be, along with Easwaran's translation of the Upanishads and Dhammapada, on the shelf of every student of Eastern Wisdom. The translation is beautiful, somewhere between prose and poetry, and the introduction, and chapter openings are especially helpful to Westerners unfamiliar with Hinduism, and the non-physical schools of Yoga. ... Skeptical
A Course in Miracles is my only skeptical part of this book. I do not know this program, but from the evidence I get in the book..I doubt its background in Jesus Christ. But don't quote me for sure.I can say I enjoyed reading this book, it makes sense. It was uplighting and inspiring. Worth the read but be cautious of cult practice.

A Confused Mind Cannot Understand Simplicity
This is a great book that is filled to overflowing with insight, depth, and understanding that truly, Love is the answer. I mean, we've all heard this but we often feel that there has got to be something more...but what could be more than Love?

Great book
I really like this book. Overall the only thing that was bad was trying to receive the package. UPS refuses to actually deliver packages. Instead, UPS just delivers sticky notes to my door claiming they tried to deliver the package.

Could lead you beyond the mind
"Through the Open Door" is a collection of CDs lasting about one hour each with two apparently random extracts from a retreat given by Eckhart Tolle (E.T., with no pun intended). When it was given and where is unclear. After a brief introduction by the lady who runs "Sounds True" (i.e. the publisher), you start hearing E.T.'s voice and his unmistakable German accent.

Exactly what I was looking for
I was looking for and needing simple and clear self-improvement / enlightenment.My life had grown so stagnant and mediocre.I knew I was missing something but couldn't put my finger on it.It is not enough to start listening to classic music or just reading more novels.It is about looking within. How easy it is to overlook or forget how much power and control we have over our own lives. I plan to give this book out as gifts to my friends and family.

Best spiritual text ever written
I have quoted and underlined and re-read this book so many times that it is falling apart.If you can overcome the politically incorrect masculine form of writing, the material is as true to today as it was when it was written.James Allen was truely an enlightened soul.His writing is so packed with spiritual truths that the reader will want to read the text slowly and repeatedly to allow it to linger in the mind.This is my favorite book of all time.

Pronoia Pleasure
Wonderful, eclectic book...filled with nuggets of wisdom, sassy observations, truth-seeking insights.New.Unusual.Not for the scaredy-cats of philosophy, religion or politics.The sort of book that lends well to thumbing through at leisure, or flipping through backwards. Or upside down, or inside out. A great book to find refuge in when the prison-camps of corporate life and stultified living are overwhelming.I plan to give copies to everyone I know and to quote some of the more outrageous thoughts in the faces of my dreariest, most conservative acquainances.Loved the book.Recommend it highly.

Very user friendly energy tips
I bought this kit on the recommendation of other reviews - always wonder if they are genuine.They were very accurate.This is a great package.I am a tactile therapist and use energy within my treatments.These dvd, book, cards and cd present many energy techniques in a simple and accessible format.Great to use for myself and I have been passing on some techniques to clients already.I am very happy with my purchase.

Tried it and WOWit worked for me
This kit arrived for my birthday and I used the cut-glass crystal as instructed and could really feel and even see the interaction of the spinning crystal with my finger energy. I could feel tingling in my meridians and more energy. The crystal is not used as a pendulum but is twisted to make it spin over key areas.Really very intriguing and effective.Then I had to do other things and got in at 10 pm.Thought I would watch the DVD.Did the exercises along with the DVD.Then thought I'd do some internet research. Got up to stretch and thought the clock must have stopped.It was 4 am and I didn't feel tired at all!I was so energized that Ihardly slept even when I got to bed.Had to get up at 8 am so thought, well, I'll do the exercizes I learned to help me through the day since I didn't sleep hardly at all.I had a great day and was extremely energetic.People commented.And I am a person who is tired all the time and gets sick from missing sleep! I love this stuff and am amazed how incredibly well it worked! But in the future I will certainly be more careful about charging up before going to bed!

Thoughts Have Consequences
I have used these cards for about six months now in all sorts of situations. I find the repetitiveness useful. Marketing studies will tell you that people need to hear a message about 23 times before it becomes 'embedded' in their thought processes and they actually act on it. We are bombarded with all kinds of affirmations positive and negative, so many in fact that we can't even begin to count them. Here is a very easy way to set the tone for the day or a conversation or a project, to broach a difficult discussion or to prompt a written inspirational essay. What is true is that on a particularly hectic day you'll find yourself repeating a power thought that has maintained a particular appeal for you, and you will find yourself breathing more easily and getting through what may be a very difficult moment. I've bought two sets, one to keep and one to give away and I have a feeling this friend will not be the last one I buy them for!

Like Dorothy, I wish I could just click my heels and say any affirmation on these cards, and somehow it would manifest itself. I am a student of many self-help books and these cards remind me of some of the ones I have read. I'm sure the author of the cards has read and used many of them herself. If, like me, you are also a fan of Tarot Cards, maybe you could use this deck to do a "reading" of sorts, draw some squares on a large sheet of paper, and label each one as an aspect of your daily life....job, relationship, children, parents, friends, inner self, and so on, and then place a card on each square you have and see how the saying on each card relates to it. It might be interesting! DISCLAIMER...If you are some religion which forbids the idea of fortune-telling or divination then don't do this, and don't say I made you do it. Thank You.

A Refreshing Way of looking at love
The Mastery of Love" is an enjoyable, easy read that you can finish in an afternoon or evening. How true it is that when children are young they express whatever they feel and act on impulse. By the time we are

I read the 4 Agreements and loved it and even took a seminar series on it.Then I stumbled across this book!It is fantastic!It is a roadmap on how to be happy, how to experience heaven right now (love yourself unconditionally.You will be happy any time your love is flowing to others).Simple concepts but I didn't know them.I typically underline when I read non-fiction so I can quickly review the salient points later on... in this case I might as well plan to read the whole book again, as just about every page has enlightening thoughts.Wow, I am still reeling from the power presented by Don Miguel!Read this book!!!Best book I have read in years, maybe decades! And I am an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction.I liked best the allegory about the magical kitchen (if you have unlimited quality and quantity of food yourself (ie. love for yourself), you will not need to bargain with others for theirs.You will be content and able to just love others (unconditional love!)

Mastery of Love
My sophomore year of high school I was very sad--depressed is more likely--and I had been for over a year. I didn't know quite what to do, but I was beginning to turn much of that into anger (i.e. I listened to bands like Reagan Youth, Crass and the Subhumans). I found this book on Amazon as I was browsing, and I decided I wanted to read it. As things turned out, I was talking with a friend of a friend, mentioned it, and she said she had it and would let me borrow it. The odds perplexed me, but a couple days later I was reading it, and Miguel Ruiz changed my entire perspective. I cannot forget the weekend I finished it-- I was in a sort of complete emotional and physical shock. That may have been when my meditation practice began, also. For weeks after I could never decide what music to listen to, so I listened to reggae (the likes of the Wailing Souls, Inner Circle, Bob and Ziggy) and also started reading eastern philosophy. Am I straying? I was just explaining the impact I felt at sixteen. As I am a sophomore now in college, I still keep this book with me, and I am about to read it again. The best of the Abraham-Hicks books
A New Beginning I : Handbook for Joyous Survival is the best of the Abrahm-Hicks series and can be considered to contain the main messages of Abraham. The other books by Jerry and Esther Hicks are sequels to this edition and contain elaborative information on the teachings in this book. This book easily presents to the reader a philosophy of the creation of personal experience. Like in the Seth books by Jane Roberts, the non-physical entities repeat to us the message that we are the creators of our own life-experiences, through the constant application of the laws of the universe consciously or by default. A new beginning presents us with a practical guide on the way of creating our life-experiences consciously and deliberately the way we want. I recommend this book highly and as supplements, all the Abraham-Hicks books. I also recommend all the Seth books. As they fit together beautifully. A must to every seeker's library.

Universal Truth
This book is one of the many books that speak of the Universal laws and Truths of manifesting. I was quite disappointed by one of the readers who reviewed this book and implied at the end of the review that this material could have possibly been plagerzied by a well known spiritual and motivational teacher. Universal laws and truths have existed throughout the ages and the truths are uncovered on a soul level when the spirit is ready to receive them. They are not the discovery or copyright of solely one individual.Source has many methods and many mouthpieces, each bringing and teaching Truth in their own way.

This is also fuzzy and full of mystical terms.
I bought this book and Astral Dynamic.The beginning of the book is interesting, it is guiding you, but unfortunately the rest of the book is not so orginal or interesting. The style is bland, filled with fuzzy mystical terms, redundancies, and personal experiences that seem a bit contrived. The book is also overly long because of it's attempt to be an explain-all of the OOB phenomenon.
It is difficult to read.
Author use lots terminologies of his won, and it is divided into many details and very lengthy, it is difficult to read.

Lack of explanations.
No explanation is given as to how forms and entire environments can exist without spatial dimensions, nor why there can be a sequence of events and yet no such thing as time.

I found a 1955 printing of this book in an old waterfront cabin and was struck by the care with which the previous owner had read it. Eve (the name inscribed inside the front cover and then again above the heading for chapter 3) made pencil marks on nearly every paragraph of the book, underlining a phrase, highlighting many passages with strong vertical marks, scratching out some words that she seems to have found superfluous and even x-ing out whole sections that apparently missed their mark with her altogether. Two rusting paper clips isolate several pages, absent any marking at all. Anne Morrow Lindbergh's lyrical words are still relevant and presage so many of the themes of today's most popular books: simplicity, peaceful solitude, caring for the soul, a woman finding her place in society and life. A gift from Anne Morrow Lindbergh
This is a terrific book for awoman of any age. It provides much food for thought and is a source of inspiration through her personal musings and easy flowing prose. I like the 20 year "report" from the author where she shares her surprise that her own refections and thoughts have influenced others. Obviously others have the same life experiences to consider and learn from.

Should be required reading...At least once every year!
There is much to gain by reading this book. This book captures the aspects of life and love by a woman's reflections while looking over her "Gifts from the sea."

Pure Wisdom
Do it for yourself: This book at first will transform your general perspective and when you get it, believe me, your life becomes wiser and better after reading it.

Right on Target!
We're told to love other people as we love ourselves in the first part of this book. This teaching of Jesus Christ, known as the Golden Rule is the starting point of human relations building in this book's discussion on the laws of life. Another principle Jesus taught is found near the conclusion, i.e., that of giving. Templeton writes "Giving makes you a magnet for success" (p. 299). Do you need down to earth inspiration?
This is a must for anybody's personal library. No matter where you are in
