A Happy Outcome to All Things is Sure
Gary Renard's second book, Your Immortal Reality, is similar to his first book, The Disappearance of the Universe, in that it emphasizes again and again some of the most important ideas that Jesus presents to us in A Course in Miracles.In his writing, Gary's teaching style can be likened to that of the Course.Throughout ACIM, Jesus teaches and reinforces Course principles by way of repetition and building upon a theme and so does Gary.Forgiveness is one of the most important themes in the Course, and Gary presents this principle clearly and accurately in both books.

this book will wake you up
I bought this book about a year ago not even realizing it was about a Course In Miracles. About the early 90's I had read the Course and even started the workbook progressing to about lesson 100 or so. But this book (Disappearance) really helped clarify what the Course is all about; I could literally feel my ego resisting the material in the beginning of the book, but at the end I couldn't put it down. Needless to say, I started the workbook again and my mind will never be the same again. This book is a blessing and a Godsend.

I am now a beliver...
At first I did not believe the theory behind this so-called "treatise."But then, an odd thing happened.I posted a review about this author's other "book," "YOUR IMMORTAL REALITY," wherein I pointed out that, in my haste to further my property buying expertise, I purchased the book and was shocked and dismayed to discover it was not about REALTY at all.See, in that review I posted for "YOUR IMMORTAL REALITY," I took the time to compose it, post it, and even a few people found it helpful, if not insightful.Dare I say, a few even took heed of my cautionary review to fully read the title before buying it.HOWEVER, it suddenly vanished!POOF, it has since disappeared.Yes, strange things abound.

Loved it. If you actually do what they recommend you will immediately begin feeling better, doesn't matter how bad you feel, you will enjoy results. Then after you feel better, the good stuff starts. Read it, do it, and then be pleasanlty surprised.

Not Quite Abraham
I'm afraid I understand the laws of attraction differently than the Hicks, though I know they profess this to be channeled. I'm quite sure many will benefit from this, yet another in the line of channellings, but for me, I'd have to couple this book with some of Chopra's work, and certainly with Gangi's work, whom I consider a true channel of God. Nevertheless, it provides the daily meditations and answers the need of many, so, good job.

I love this book!It is an excellent support system for learning to work with the Law of Attraction.

Provocative, controversial, parts may resonate with you
It is only in the last year that I've dug deep into my spiritual journey in this life.
Think before you buy
I have read almost all of Sylvia Browne's book and out of curiousity decided to flip through the pages of this one.After reading a little bit of what she has written, I felt like I was reading one of her earlier books.Yes, she does get a very repetitive, but some of the topics recently have really made me question her validity.Either she has run out of interesting and new information to share with the public and is forced to make things up, or her ego has gotten the best of her and she actually believes that she knows EVERYTHING!
Same old, same old . . . .
I love this lady dearly and have seen her in person three times at lectures/book signings.However, nothing in this book is fresh - rather it rehashes material that she's had in print for a long while.Every day when I leave my home I ask Lillith to protect my pet and keep her healthy...it wasn't until I read this book that I remembered it was Sylvia's initial publication of the Lillith information that got me started doing it (that's how long it's been...that I'd even forgotten the origins of my request).Sylvia has been teaching us for so long, I have to wonder if there's anything left that she has not addressed. Anymore I just get her books from the library - then if there's something of interest that I want to keep for future reference, I'll purchase it.If this is Sylvia's way to keep her face and her ideas in the public domain, then more power to her.I'd rather hear her lovely renditions of Home than the fire and brimstone others choose to hawk. ... I LOVED THIS BOOK

a work in progress
I first became familiar with a Course in Miracles in the early 90's by attending classes for it at a Unity Church. Of course, without reading it had no real idea what it was about. Purchased the book soon after, read the text and started the workbook; but, I stopped at about lesson 100 because of a major life change. It was probably just as well because I really don't think I understood it clearly. A year ago I read Gary Renard's book "The Disappearance Of The Universe" which really brought it down to a human level. I started the workbook again (currently on lesson 268) and it has changed my life. My mind is much quieter, much more free of mindless chatter. Don't get me wrong, I still have those crazy days. I highly recommend everyone buying this book and keep it on hand for when you are ready for it.

because if you think this is the way to go, you are truly in need of it.First, a careful reading of the Bible mentions false prophets and such (after end point of the Bible) but otherwise says nothing occurs till time for "rapture" and 2nd coming.Unless you want to claim we're in second coming, people who hear from Jesus are either deluded or false prophets.You are free to decide which.On that basis, however, the ideas espoused in the book are either pointless,useless (if delusional), or meant to pull people to the Anti-C if false prophecy.Again, your decision. You have to read this!
As a recovering addict (3 years clean) I fell in love with this book. The way he describes his struggle to overcome the addictions, to get past his childhood trauma, and to just be a grown up was charming. I especially related to him describing how he could keep the electricity and phones turned on cause he couldn't pay the bills, not because he didn't have the money, but because he became overwhelmed at the thought of responsibility. Also the way he described his mother's suffocating needs, saying that even the smallest task ("changing a lightbulb) seemed so daunting and huge.
going through hell and back...
"Dry: A Memoir" is my second autobiographical book by Augusten Burroughs.His "Running with Scissors" was brilliant; I was awestruck at how any child can survive through such a bizarre childhood.In "Dry.." we discover that Mr Burroughs didn't exactly sail through early adulthood unscathed.Although remarkably successful in the frenetic world of advertising at a young age, the author quickly self-destructs.Alcohol, drugs and failed relationships find him in rehab while only in his twenties.From there "Dry.." recounts the author's attempts to get his life back together.A rough journey ensues.
Even Better Than Running...
Read this right after reading his childhood tale, Running with Scissors.This is more believable, more relatable and more heartbreaking.This is the one they should have made a film out of.At times I was proud of him, disgusted with him, sad for him, and found myself rooting for him.A sign of a well written book.Can't wait to read the next installment. ... First,
An incredibly important work.
I first learned of this book while listening to an audiobook by Wayne W. Dyer. While reading it, I realized it was one of the most important books I would ever be exposed to. The author goes into such amazing detail. This is a must-read for anyone wanting to improve not only their own life but humanity as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book and any other book written by Dr. David R. Hawkins.

Another Great Book From Ms. Garrett!
I have read several of Ms. Garrett's books.They always make you feel as if you are walking in her footsteps.I, being an X-member of an Old Order Amish sect, was curious to see if there were any differences within her sect and mine.I learned alot from, "Born Amish."For my sect was a little different-which isn't shocking when there are so many Amish sects.I can't wait until she publishes another book.For she is a remarkable writer.I always recommend her books.I also recommend, "My Amish Heritage", by Ruth Irene Garrett; and, "True Stories of X-Amish: Banned-Shunned-Excommunicated", by Ottie Garrett and Ben Garrett.

Beautifully written

Outstanding Content
Pema is very funny and personable. She cuts throught it and gets to the point with excellent real world examples. What she gives on this CD is something that you can use everyday. Her discussion on "Shenpa" was worh the price of the CD!

Changing Your Perspective
Don't go into situations with specific expectations or you may end up frustrated and angry.The book helps you learn to roll with the punches.We find ourselves in such a rush and that puts extra pressure on ourselves (and the others around us).
You Don't Have to be Buddhist to Get a Lot From This.
I found myself getting stuck in repetitiousthought patterns even after decades of meditation practice.This audio book is one of the best teachings I've ever heard and can apply to anyone with an open mind who is ready to find thekeys to get unstuck.I speak from my experience and the experience everyone I know who listens, to it.I hear things like "life altering changes"."Getting Unstuck" is awesome. Smoking stuff
This guy must have been smoking plenty in order to create his lofty and interesting theories. He has developed his ideas from his first book "The power of now". It's very entertaining for a student of zen buddhism to learn about Tolle's ideas and thoughts. For a thoroughly understanding of this text you will benefit learning about zen. Steven Hagen's "Buddhism Plain and Simple" is an excellent source that strips out Buddha's teaching into it's core, without BS.

real clarity

A review by my Ego
As I was flying back to Vancouver tonight, I finished this book on the plane. I watched in amazement as my mind was waiting in excitement to just get home, sit down in front of my computer and write a review of this book. My mind almost raced at the thought of writing this review, collecting with amazing speed all the merits and shortcomings of this amazing book. But something was different. My excitement was tainted! My Ego, in his hasty planning for a grandiose review didn't even realize that it was being "watched". It happened before, but this time the "watching" went on for much longer and much deeper than before. Boy, my Ego is in trouble now! :) LOL

Too Wordy
This book was a little TOO wordy for my taste. I am sure to ALL the FANS of the Hick's absolutely love it, however I did not. That's just my opinion. I am off to the next book. I prefer something that is straight to the point and lewss fluff, if you will.

The Amazing Power of Drivel
As a university professor of human resource development and an Anglican brother, The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent is pure drivel and has no redeeming value whatsoever. If you enjoy new-age fantasy, get a copy from your local library otherwise do not waste your money. If you are serious about spiritual growth you might read works such as The Rule of Benedict: Insights for the Ages, or the best selling book on spiritual development of all time.. it's called the Bible.

Another wonderful resource

Bringing Spirituality down to Reality
As someone who has always appreciated and been intrigued by the different religions of the world and the similarities between them, I love how this book makes them all relevant to my life & how I live it.One thing that most impresses me about this book is the author's thoroughness and conviction.In The Power of Now, Tolle basically describes the essence of Being - what it is to be in the now, and what it isn't.He successfully does this by addressing the major life forces that affect our ability to be present - the mind, the body, death, time, space, etc. - without straying from the heart of the book.His knowledge, appreciation and respect for so many of the ancient spiritual teachings, from Jesus, the Bible, Zen, Buddhism, Taoism, and more, is enlightening in itself and supports his message very effectively.Although I didn't agree with every concept in the book, I appreciate the thoughtfulness and compassion with which each is presented.Tolle is a true spiritual teacher who has much to offer in the practice of self-discovery.
A book I go to when I want to become still.
Previous to the first reading of this book, the principles of present moment living, quieting the mind, and being still to become in touch with my intuition or the wisdom of the universe are some I have practiced, along with others, that have enabled me to experience serenity in my life regardless of the circumstances. Though many of the concepts of this book were not new to me, I find this book very valuable. It further expands the understanding of these concepts and adds its own voice to the discussion of these principles with great clarity. It is a book I have read many times and each time, though I may just read a page or two, it quiets my mind and I feel more peaceful.(In my second reading, it helped me to be more peaceful during a time when the doctors believed my son had an inoperable brain tumor.) I have since moved on to read his next book - A NEW EARTH and I am on my third reading. I highly recommend this one as well.

6 STARS . . .how about 7?
This book is everything it is said to be. To know that there is an answer to ED other than the new ed pills should be talked about on the local news. To think that I overcame several years of ED with the help of simple supplements that can be found in an advanced multi-vitamin(and I don't mean a bunch of herbs). I've only been following the advice in this book for a couple of weeks and can tell you that this is the answer. Very Good Book...
Many Lives, Many Masters left me with an unquenchable thirst to continue reading on the subject of past-life regression therapy. It also left me with a sense of peace and a comfort to know that higher beings are available if we should have the courage to call on them. I am a believer, not because of this book, but because of significant personal experiences. This book assisted in the further confirmation of my believes even when these are not shared by others, which is ok. It just means that they will learn when their time is right, no more, no less...

The Course and Marianne
I have known and known of Marianne Williamson for several years, and know of the inner battles she had until she discovered the Course on Miracles. I believe this book is good for those who have lost sight of our purpose on Earth, and those who may need a swift kick of unconditional love to get them on the right path.Much like Louise Hay, Rayna Gangi, Andrew Weil, and others, Marianne tries to show us that love is possible, necessary, and expected.

Russell Targ, a physicist as well as paranormal researcher, and J. J. Hurtak, a Judeo-Christian and Buddhist spiritual teacher have written a book of great importance for the rest of us. As they suggest, it is today because we have leaders that are ignorant about our oneness with not only each other but the Creator, they make absurd statements that actually lead to war and untold suffering such as, "Those who are not with us are with the terrorists." The modern physics of nonlocality and remote viewing research all show our potential for experiencing expanded awareness that yield to a deeper understanding of why avatars like Jesus uttered: "If you see me, you have seen God."
