5-0 out of 5 stars chock full of freedom
I found this book to be easily read, yet contain some fairly complex ideas. The stories and experiences presented as evidence for remote viewing and the extra-material senses of the human mind were fascenating. If you're interested at all in remoteviewing, or even just evidence for science actually "trying" to break into the spiritual, then it's a good book for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Introduction to the Limitless Possibilities of Mind and Spirit
I found Limitless Mind to be an exceptional introduction to the study of consciousness and psychic abilities. The book describes many studies relating to fascinating topics such as remote viewing, distance/spiritual healing, precognition, and the fluidity of time and space. It describes the theory that time and space are "nonlocal."This theory suggests that it is an illusion that we occupy a specific area of space at a specific time. But in fact "each region of space-time contains information about every other point in space-time" (8).This is to "suggest that all of space-time is available to your consciousness, right where you are" (5).Or in other words "the whole universe is in some way enfolded in everything, and that each thing is enfolded in the whole" (8).And this would explain the phenomena of remote-viewing where a person describes a place or an object from a distance in which that person could have no sensory perception of the object. In remote viewing you're simply clearing your mind of all the "mental noise" (thoughts, memories, sounds, etc...) constantly running through your head thereby tapping into that part of you that is connected with the universe. Then by focusing your attention on a particular place or object you can access any point in space-time and bring it to your awareness. 4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting, but Not Quite What I Expected...
This book left me with a vague feeling of unease. It was as if I were on the edge of a great enlightenment and then...the book ended. There is some interesting material on Remote Viewing, but you should note that you need at least one partner to practice for the most part.Since this is not a topic of much interest in the Midwest, I don't think I'll be able to practice much.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is also fuzzy and full of mystical terms.
I bought this book and Astral Dynamic. The beginning of the book is interesting, it is guiding you, but unfortunately the rest of the book is not so orginal or interesting. The style is bland, filled with fuzzy mystical terms, redundancies, and personal experiences that seem a bit contrived. The book is also overly long because of it's attempt to be an explain-all of the OOB phenomenon.
1-0 out of 5 stars It is difficult to read.
Author use lots terminologies of his won, and it is divided into many details and very lengthy, it is difficult to read.

1-0 out of 5 stars Lack of explanations.
No explanation is given as to how forms and entire environments can exist without spatial dimensions, nor why there can be a sequence of events and yet no such thing as time.

4-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book that has a few troubling components
This is an enlightening book.It describes the author's personal experience and his interpretation of his experience.Storm was an atheist prior to the experience, and became an avid, empassioned Christian minister consequent to the experience. Therefore, in order to account for such a dramatic transformation, the reader might naturally assume that his experience was based in truth and "reality."
5-0 out of 5 stars TEN STARS WOULD BE TOO FEW
We are all moving toward death. The question is: What is the state of our soul? And, according to that state, what sort of reception will we receive as we make the passage from our earthly existence to a new world? If you think "there's probably nothing at all," think again. For decades now Kerlian photography at UCLA has been capturing the flight of the soul from the body at death. And weighing a person just before and just after death results in a difference of something like 38 grams--the soul even has weight! Don't miss the opportunity of a lifetime to read of one man's riveting experience of meeting demons, angels, and Jesus, and then be sent back to tell us what he saw, heard, and felt. Howard Storm, thank you for the gift of My Descent into Death. For those of you who are allergic to "being born again" or entrenched in your atheism, agnosticism or indifference, please pick up the book, open up your soul, and go through it again. This is your passage to the life you were meant to live--with God, our Father, with Jesus our Redeemer, and with the Holy Spirit, the very breath of God.

5-0 out of 5 stars God Loves You As You Are!
Howard Storm writes an honest and beautifully revealing account of his experiences after his near death episode. He reveals a God infinitely more complex, holy, and loving than the one taught to us in Sunday school. Our spiritual growth continues after death. Life here on earth is solely to do God's will and learn to love God and each other as Christ showed us in the Bible. What happens when we die? Is your religion the 'right' one? Does hell relly exist? Are there other worlds in the universe? These and many more questions are answered in Dr. Storms' riveting account. You won't put it down and then you'll read it again. A great gift to others on the search for truth. ... Read more

Joseph McMoneagle was one of the original remote viewers recruited intothe military's Project Stargate, a once secret army project designed to usetrained remote viewers for spying during the cold war. For the uninitiated, remote viewing (often referred to as RV) is a skill that allows a person(viewer) to envision events, people, or objects that are not within eyesight--inanother room or in another country (and sometimes in the future).Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars You either 'get' it or you don't
I like this book because McMoneagle uses practical, no nonsense ways to evaluate people for this ability, and the bottom line is that you either 'got it' or you don't. If you're into 'woo-woo' and all the theatrics of psychic work, or think that there is some magical formula aside from self-confidence, self-understanding, and common sense, you won't get much out of this book.
5-0 out of 5 stars A good guide for the beginner
I've been experimenting with remote viewing for a couople of years now and McMoneagle's book REMOTE VIEWING SECRETS is a pretty solid book for the beginner. It explains the history and provides some nice case stories about RV.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELENT!!!!
I have read several books on this topic, a few of which I haven't finished (Boring). This book however, had me hooked after the first chapter. The author talked about several things, of which I have had the same or similar incidents and didn't really have an explanation for. He makes perfect sense and order of a lesser known topic, in which he describes not only his experiences, but also a number of techniques. I would recommend this book to anyone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Ok
'Out of Body Experiences' book is fairly good. It contains a bunch of neat diary entries and exercises that are easy to follow. It lacks the New Age hype, which is good for some, and is definitely not as dry as other OBE books out there. And the author is pretty encouraging with his experiences.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent OBE book
Sharply contrasting with tons of other OBE books out there, this one is probably the easiest to follow. I enjoyed the diary entries and the bits about clairovoyance and so on. I've found the exercises to be highly effective. So effective that I've actually experienced some extremely odd happenings since reading this book, so strange it all seems a bit too much (no joke). So this is, undoubtedly, as necessity and the methods DO WORK. A must buy. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Just plain weird!
I purchased this book because I had heard of Robert Monroe's work with binaural beats: a subject that interests me. I really wasn't prepared; however, for the strange nature of this book which takes a look at numerous "experiments" Monroe conducted on his own, personal, "out of body" experiences. While the book reads like a science fiction diary, Monroe actually believes in and lucidly describes his journeys. It's difficult to categorize this book but should interest those who have an open mind regarding the world of the bizarre.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Profound Story
This is one of those books that will shift the reader's awareness. Robert Monroe was an average American businessman who spontaneously had an out of body experience. He was unbelieving and thought at first that it was just an hallucination or a dream gone astray. When he got corroboration of his presence at distant places, he decided to document these incidents, look for patterns and commonalities, and develop a technique for leaving his body at will.
5-0 out of 5 stars The book that changed my life
I read this book many years ago. It was the first book of its kind I had ever read. I was in my 20's and opening to a new world, much larger and more interesting than I thought possible before. Like me, Robert Monroe was a skeptic about "all of this" and he was the perfect one to break the ice for me. He writes in a very concrete, technical way about very non-ordinary experience. This is probably the only reason I was able to read through the book. It is just the way I needed it to be presented at the time. The exercises at the end of the book were very interesting, and though no OBE was experienced, a lot of non-physical vibration and awareness was.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Journal
I liked how the author kept a journal and added it in the book, so the readers know how long between each time he had the experiences. It gives the idea of where you are at and know that their are times when it does not happen. But their are places on the web that teach these things for free if you search Google. The audios that some use do not work for me and I had more questions about it at first. Like, Do I go to sleep first or stay awake while laying down totaly relaxed before I move out?

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Book!
I first bought a book from an author named Sapphire, but it turned out to be useless and strangely written. It had high ratings that I now know are false.I also see that this book has been highly recommended, so I bough it and loved every page of it.This book is written to answer a lot of questions people might have about out of body experiences.I used a method in this book and got some nice vibrations but that's as far as I got.Like anything else, it takes practice before it comes easy.I tried astral travel in the past, but now I want to put more effort into it.I'm quite sure this book will help a lot.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is fantastic!Worth every penny!
Adventures Beyond the Body is well written, in a language anyone can understand. There is also a bit on quantum physics, which I enjoyed reading as well.I have many books on the subject of astral projection, and each one has a few little pieces of information different from the next.Sometimes, all it takes is that one paragraph or sentence to really inspire you. This book is filled with such inspiration, and encouragement.William Buhlman is clearly an expert on the subject, and has a lot to offer his readers.

3-0 out of 5 stars A good book for people wanting to learn "astral travel"
A nice read for those interested in learning what some call "astral travel"-Though in my opinion its a slim chance for you to learn any hidden technique from this book other then how to be a bit more aware and more polite with people around you-If astral travel exist at all that is.
3-0 out of 5 stars Hmmm...
This nine-chapter book is the companion material to a free online course, purporting to teach astral projection to beginners in only nine weeks. It also covers "negative entities" and "conjurations" to counter these boogey-men. Hmmm...
5-0 out of 5 stars A book giving real opportunites to explore
I have read a lot of books before that, interesting books with fascinating stories, nice wording, mysterious things and hundreds of practices. But apart from misleading me (for some of them), they lacked an organized way of helping people achieve the goal of verifying the astral plane. This book, accompanied by the courses and the great help of the instructors teaching this course, helped me to verify by myself things that I have read before only in stories.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the Trilogy
This is my favorite of the Monroe books but it helps to read all three in order.I think that the jargon he uses (often times different from other source of knowledge about OBEs or Astral Travel) would otherwise be difficult to grasp. Also it is interesting to see how his perception becomes more refined over time (nearly 20 years from the first book to this one).I think that there is advanced spiritual knowledge here in disguise as a travelouge (albeit astral travelogue).

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
This nonfiction book about death and some of the options you have when you die was very interesting to me.People who are hardcore about their religions might not want to read this book because it says there is no God the way we humans think there is.Robert A. Monroe created his own institute to study higher consciousness and to understand what was happening to him when he started floating out of his body. The book has stories of other people from around the world who were taught how to achieve this. Those who are open minded about this subject would probably get a lot from this book and his previous two (Journeys Out of the Body and Far Journeys) because it changed the way I think about life, death, and who I am.There is really no way for people to know for sure until you have your own OBE (out of body experience) or until you die.The book is a little hard to understand at first, but you will start to get it if you read parts of the book over or you read his other two books. This is a good book and I recommend it to anyone who is willing to read it.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Outstanding Work of a Pioneer
Who in the West ever heard of astral projection until Robert Monroe published his trilogy on the subject?

4-0 out of 5 stars amazing read, BUT.....
if you're interested in this book, i'm pretty confident you'll like it.the spirit guide that speaks through the author uses a bunch of big words and kind of technical/complicated concepts, but i found it understandable enough to be educational and very interesting.however.. there is some REALLY weird teachings from the spirit guide in this book.for example - he says "aging is not natural" and that a person could never age or reverse aging if they just believed it, that people age because they see everyone else aging and believe it.and also that some people on earth haven't aged because they believe they can do it. hmm.true or false?idon't know, but it's pretty wild, and i'd like to see someone pull it off.he also says that earth and everything in it are just an illusion, and we could stop the illusion any time if we wanted.this seems believable to me, however the idea that anyone could end their suffering on earth IF THEY ONLY REALLY WANTED TO seems highly offensive to me.whlie most of the concepts here line up incredibly perfectly with books such as "journey of souls," i find some seeming contradictions.most reincarnation books teach a mix of fate and free will.in other words bad things will happen in your life, but you choose how to react.this seems perfectly reasonable to me.but this book seems to teach that EVERYTHING is free will. does that mean starving people want to starve?people being raped want to be raped, and they could end it if they really wanted to?it seems absurd.in another teaching, the spirit guide says that people with "lower vibrations" like to eat more red meat than people with "higher vibrations."huh?because someone likes the taste of steak they're less spiritually evolved or something?also it says something like sicknesses can be cured by the power of the mind (scientology, anyone?) the spirit guide keeps saying "ask, and you shall receive" (ask the spirit guides and they will help you immediately), but i haven't found this to be the case in my life.i've asked for help many many times to my guide and never received any help that i could notice.the book doesn't touch on the concept of guides staying out of a human's life for a great deal of the time so they can learn lessons on their own.and that's what i think the great negative of this book is - it brings up so many fascinating concepts that just aren't discussed in enough depth.this book could have been 2 or 3 times the length, with robert monroe and rosalind mcknight asking more questions, and perhaps these teachings could make more sense to my brain.as it is, you're going to find a lot of fascinating ideas and some confusing things in this book.i plan to read over some parts to try to absorb the spiritual teachings within.also one chapter has the author viewing the year 3000 if things on earth mature spiritually well, it's very interesting.overall, a great read.you also might want to check out "eyes of an angel."

5-0 out of 5 stars A response to Bookaholic girl's review...
I'd like to comment on Bookaholic girl's review, "You can't be in two places at once."
1-0 out of 5 stars How can this be true?
I have been reading and enjoying the works of the late Robert A. Monroe for many years.Rosalind McKnight's accounts of the features and experiences in the etheric plane are consistent with other accounts. However, I was 150 pages into this book and all of a sudden it occurred to me - how can any of this possibly be true? How is it possible to be astrally projected out of one's physical body and still be hearing questions from the control room in the lab and still be verbally answering questions with one's physical mouth while one is in another dimension?Sounds funny to me.I would find it more credible if the author wrote down recollections of her experiences after she had returned to the physical plane. As far as I'm concerned, You can't be two places at once. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Superb and fascinating information
This is the best book on the market about Astral Projection and what happens afterwards. I admire Monroe enormously. He has done valuable research for mankind, and even though many of us cannot/or will not have an out-of-body, for fear or other limitations, at least we know step by step how to do it and what to expect. The Bible of AP!

1-0 out of 5 stars Incomprehensible Gibberish
I recently read Robert Monroe's first book, "Journeys Out of Body" and found it to be a disappointment - it was just weird. As I noted in my review of that book, I had hoped that the author would discuss his use of sound, for which he is allegedly noted. As I purchased this book at the same time and had nothing else to read, I thought I'd give it a try.
5-0 out of 5 stars Far Journeys Review
I am so passionate about this book.It has answered all the life questions I have ever held.Although many people I have recommended it to have reported that they have not been able to "get into it" - for me, I would say it is the best book I have ever read.

I hesitated getting this book because some of the reviews here on Amazon made it sound like it didn't offer any techniques.
4-0 out of 5 stars As Title Says...."For Beginners"...
I became interested in AP/OBE's awhile ago but just could not find any certain technique on the internet or on my own that worked with much success.I ran across this at a local bookstore, it was the only related book they had, so I decided to buy it.It brings up great points, but for me as a semi-experienced AP'er it was all reiteration of what is common sense in the OBE world. An excellent book for beginners, but if you are looking for advanced techniques or specific explanations, look elsewhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great book for beginners
One of the interesting things I found in this book is that some of the things she mentinoned I've personally experienced over 10 years ago when I was trying earnestly to have an OBE.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A truly practical guide
I would like to counter the review that states this book is not helpful. Apparently the reviewer didn't take the time to carry out the simple exercises offered in the book. If they had done so, they would know just how practical and effective the methods are. 4-0 out of 5 stars Learn how to travel in the Astral World
'Experiencing Astral Travel- An 8 week course' by Mark Pritchard, writing under the pseudonym V.M.Beelzebub, is a good practical introduction to the subject. In about 150 pages, the author gives a practical approach to learn astral travel. There are many books on the subject, but this book starts from the very beginning and takes the reader to a fairly good level.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars the remote viewing training course
I always wanted to find a good remote viewing course.David Morehouse worked in the famous Star Trek program and therefore I think he could be the best teacher in the techniques and theory of coordinate remote viewing. The book is well presented with multiple lectures that guide you trough stage I to stage IIIof coordinate remote viewing. The are lectures by David Morehouse also included in the separate CDs.It is well structured with a beautiful, easy and enjoyable layout.Includes 3 targets to work with at the end of the audio course and I think it is the best course in this area (as far as I know it is the only distance learning audio-course of this discipline). The drawback of this audio-course is that stages 4 to 6 are not covered.I am really looking forward to the second part of this amazing course.

4-0 out of 5 stars great program, however...
This is a very well-organized and easy-to-understand program.I was so excited about what I was learning, only to later find out that this CD-set encompassed only the first three phases of a six-phase program. The next CD-set covering phases four through six will be coming out eventually, but by then, I will most likely need need to review the first program again--not very efficient.I considered taking the resident courses to continue the training, but they only offer phases one through six all together...so for what purpose did I spend the time and money to buy the first CD-set?you got me...

5-0 out of 5 stars Why would anyone not like this book?
I don't understand where all these bad reviews are coming from.Maybe if the reviewers had a better grasp on the English language they would have seen the book in a different light. After reading many books on the subject, A.D. is head and shoulders above the rest...in my humble opinion.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not waste your money and time.
Not worth the effort, there are better book out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's All About The Journey~Lessons Along The Way
'Psychonavigation' by John Perkins is a thin, but extremely potent book that you will read over and over again. Only 144 pages in length, it's a very quick read, just an hour or two and you're done. However don't confuse brevity in length with lack of depth and content. There is much insight and wisdom within.
5-0 out of 5 stars I Flew!
When I read this book, I could not put it down. I flew! I read "Shapeshifting" by Perkins also and loved it. I came to "Psychonavigation" expecting to hear more of the same. But was I in for a pleasant surprise! This is a terrific book -- and it complements Shapeshifting. Perkins is a powerful teacher. He has helped me transform my life and learned to fly! What more can I say? Except: Read it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Storytelling and Useful Techniques
I really enjoyed this book, having read Perkin's other books, Shapeshifting and World As You Dream It.The thing that I especially liked about this one was that he included a shamanic journeying technique at theend of his book. Therefore, not only do you get the great storytelling andinspiration found in the other two books, but you also get a useful toolwhich you can easily incorporate into your life.Another bonus of thisbook is that it is not exclusively centered upon the Shuar of SouthAmerica.Perkins also recounts his journeys and experiences in the Andesand Indonesia. This is the book where you learn in-depth about Perkin'sexperiences that led him to further develop his interactions with the Shuar-- experiences briefly mentioned in the two books above.Even if you arethe kind of person who tends to shy away from personal stories inspirituality books, I still recommend this book.I'm one too, and yet Ifind Perkin's works valuable. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Thorough Account of Stages of Astral Mastery
I wish to differ strongly with Jonathan Livingston also. It is plainly obvious to me that Mr. Dennett's experiences are authentic, having done much development along these lines, over time, myself.
5-0 out of 5 stars A note from the author
Hi, I am the author of Out of Body Exploring. I want to respond to Jonathon Livingston's review. While everybody's entitled to their opinion, I would like to correct some errors. First, the book is 178 pgs, not 150. Second, while I do present some lucid dreams, the majority are genuine OBEs. I was able to get proof that I was out of body more than once. Finally, the methods I present are my own, and not taken from any other book. This book is the true story of how I learned to go out of body. It was hard at first, but after practice, I learned to maintain the out of body state. While out of body, I was able to visit deceased loved ones, learn about my past lives, explore the physical world and the astral planes, visit the Akashic Library and more. It was no dream when I visited my deceased mother and she took me on a tour of the heavenly realms. The best proof is to go out of body yourself.Nothing is more convincing (and a little scary) than looking at your body while you're standing outside of it!One time while out of body, I stood in front of the mirror and there was nothing there! Now that's a weird feeling.Anyway, my main reason for writing the book was not to get fame -- most people look at your like your crazy when you talk about this!I just think that going out of body is great fun and a spiritually transformational experience.I think it has the possibility to improve your lives both spiritually, physically and emotionally. There's an excerpt on my website if you'd like to learn more.I'll end this note with a wish and a blessing that you too will partake of the infinite joy, power and knowledge of the out of body experience!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing...
After having read so many positive reviews I was expecting much more from this book than it has delivered. What it basically contains is 150 pages of some half-assed mostly lucid dreams with the author's incoherent and off-topic remarks in between that hardly add to the clarity of his descriptions, but rather serve as a filler in an attempt to mimic other similar, but much more interesting and original books. The techniques themselves were laid out in the end on 7,5 (!) pages only. And even those are copied straight out of dozens other books on the subject.
