5-0 out of 5 stars Breaking Fetters
Fetter means "chain or shackle placed on ankle and feet".
5-0 out of 5 stars Finally Free
Many thanks to Neil Anderson and his book, The Bondage Breaker. I was in bondage to food for over 50 years, until this book set me free. Satan is very skillful in finding our weaknesses and creating havoc for us. The Bondage Breaker helped me to remember that Christ died for my sins, so I could finally be free. I have stopped believing all of the lies and started living again.I also lost 50 lbs. in the process. I would recommend this book to anyone suffering from any type of bondage. As Neil promises, "Take all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus and the truth will make you free."

5-0 out of 5 stars Neil T. Anderson is as pure as pure gets!
This book is very helpful and inciteful. I was able to understand that I was not along with things that I was suffering. Jesus came to set us free. Free from what? Why did the Bible say that? We were all under Satans power. Why would we not have something that we need to be set free from? Don't let pride keep you from reading this book. Everyone can benifit from it. Even if you are a mature believer, you will be surprised at the change it can help make in your life. Be willing, open and honest - Jesus will set you free. Jesus is the deliver. Neil is a servent. He helps guide you into deeper understanding of who we are in Christ, and what has to change. Read it alone with the Lord, or have another Christian read along with you. Anyone who has not read this book is missing out. I read through the Victory over Darkness 1st. And this one, it has made a change in me. Thank you Jesus!Bless the buyer! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
I listen to this while I work out, or on road trips on my MP3 player

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Resource
Best Bible translation. Superb for car listening. It's much easier to hear some passages rather than reading them.

4-0 out of 5 stars great for the dyslexics among us
I ordered this set for my wife, who joined a new church recently and is studying the NIV bible but has difficulty reading. Her main complaint is with the sound level of the recording; apparently the higher dynamic range of compact discs translates into trouble hearing the dialog on portable audio devices, particularly in non-quiet environments.Otherwise it's a nice alternative to the printed versions. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars good read!
I like this book, and it inspired me to further develop my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I like how Moore references Bibles verses that help with specific struggles, and urges the reader to memorize each one.
5-0 out of 5 stars Fulfilling and Impactful read
Breaking Free by Beth Moore is a very powerful read. I really connected with it and it inspired me to further develop my personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I like how Moore references Bibles verses that help with specific struggles, and urges the reader to memorize each one.
3-0 out of 5 stars Remembering Who Is #1 in Your LIfe.
Using Biblical resources, Ms. Moore shows us how to break free from the bondage, human or otherwise, which holds us hostage to our emotions.Along the way, she shares common sense wisdom such as, "sometimes the truth is going to hurt."She basically expounds upon nine definite lessons.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply excellent
Here's a capsule summary of what is taught as "Catholic History" in most American Catholic schools--at least since the 1960s:
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent book
This is the best book I have read on the subject of the Catholic Church's impact on and contributions to the history and growth of civilization -- a topic which is widely misunderstood and misrepresented. This would make an excellent textbook for high school or college students, or just a good read for anyone interested in learning the truth. The so called 'Dark Ages' weren't nearly so dark as has been widely misrepresented, not when the light of Christ was shining through His Church and forming the foundations of learning, the university system, agriculture, industry, charity, science (yes, science!), architecture, economics, law, and art.

5-0 out of 5 stars Scholarly and absorbing
I'm normally a lurker here on Amazon, benefiting from other people's reviews but never contributing any of my own. That's changing, starting now. This is an extraordinary book.

5-0 out of 5 stars The "Lost" Book of Enoch
I became aware of the Book of Enoch during a recent sunday sermon
5-0 out of 5 stars Scripture that Satan and his church didn't want you to see
According to the biblical narrative (Genesis 5:21-24), Enoch lived 365 years, far less than the other patriarchs in the period before the Flood. Enoch allegedly walked with God who turned him into the archangel Metatron.
1-0 out of 5 stars The Books of Enoch are Great but not this translation
The great thing about this book its his numerous references to the Protestant Bible. It would be great if there were some on the apocryphal and pseudepigraphical works but its enought for a Baptiste to juste mentionne the name of Enoch. Indeed, even the translation is an old one of Charles who try to cut the fact that Enoch is the Son of Man. Every scholars admit it know (because they dont have the choice!). Dont buy it if you want a good translation, but if you want good quotation buy it, but you will notice that the author have wrongs presuppositions! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Subtly Calvinistic
Be prepared before you delve into the particulars of the lives of those 12 men whom Christ chose to be His disciples. MacArthur's Reformed Presbyterianism manifests itself on page 12 ( paperback edition )when he states: " They ( being the 12 disciples ) represented the true Israel of God --- a genuinely repentant and believing Israel."
4-0 out of 5 stars Informative and interesting
Many times when we get into non-fiction books we just don't think it will be an easy read. This book really gives great information about the 12 disciples and does it in a way that makes you want to keep reading to find out more.I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in learning but has problems with most of your textbook types of material.I enjoyed this book and learned a good bit as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the First Books on Spiritual Healing that I read
I read this book over 25 years ago.I liked the biographical quality of the book and it led me to believe that prayer and laying on of hands could channel the healing energy of God through me to others.I remember, inspired by the book, laying my hands on a friend with a headache. He could feel a warm energy and feel the headache gently go away.During that time in my life, I spent time visiting the Pecos Monastary and learned about the healing side of Mystical Christianity. It seems that this is a neglected side of what Jesus taught and shared, something that he expected others to do also, and which seemed integral to his whole message.Somewhere between focusing on saving people and tent revivals, it seems that simply laying on hands and asking to be a channel for the healing light seems to have been lost.I had a chance to hear some cassettes of Agnes Sanford giving some talks on healing. She struck me as a devout Episcopalian Christian who was humble enough to have some humor about herself. She had a cold and a cough during one of her lectures and chuckled that she was not quite healed of this condition.I did find that even then a number of Christians were suspicious that she was too new agey. But in the stories in the book, she cared simply that she was channeling divine love through herself and people were healed. She recounts a story of one lady who, during her healing, felt a warm light fill her with a feeling of being loved. She felt she had awakened from a kind of spiritual asleep and understood what Jesus was talking about. She started devouting herself to the spiritual path, studying the Bible, and taking an active interest in her local church. It suddenly took on an alive meaning for her whereas before she realized she was going through the motions and not feeling much.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best There Is

2-0 out of 5 stars What happens when prayer seems to fail?
Any book on divine healing is okay with me, but her "Light" stretches too far from the gospels.Seeking Christians should take a look at "A More Excellent Way' by Henry W. Wright which really talks about sanctification as the main road to all healings and blessings. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Key To Happiness!
Although this little book is titled "The Way To Love," it could also have been called "The Key To Happiness," because the real key to happiness is contained here. And what is that key?To let go of the idea that anything outside of yourself can make you happy. This book contains many inspiring messages. But above all, it focuses on the idea that happiness is your innate state, and you can choose to return to that state at any time. This little book inspires deep contemplation, and I recommend that you read it repeatedly.
5-0 out of 5 stars Feel Troubled By The 'Real' World? Take Heart...
If you feel troubled by the "real" world - take comfort. In his final meditations, Anthony De Mello reminds us that it is all an illusion.Whenever I feel like it's all too much for me I open up The Way To Love. In this beautiful, tiny volume you will find larger than life inspiration. This book can and will change your life.
5-0 out of 5 stars When the student is ready, the teacher appears
I have been searching for God for many years, and have had many "peaks and valley" experiences. I truly believe Jesus is the Messiah, but I need a teacher for my particular level. Anthony De Mello has really given me peace with this small but amazing book.

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful spiritual book
This is a great follow up to the Power of Now. Eckhart takes universal spiritual truths that have been known to mystics for years and shares them with the general population. This book is written in the same form as Buddhist Sutras. The book is short and to the point.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference on Prophecy
This is a very powerful book on the gift of prophecy.Goll's writing has been cross-referenced with scripture throughout the book which gives creditabilty to this study. This book particularly helps those who have received the gift of prophecy giving a deeper understanding about the power of God and the purpose of visions in ministry.

5-0 out of 5 stars Seeing vsInterpreting
As God has led me on an sight filled path since 2001 the difficult part has often been discerning, "What does this mean?" and "What do you want me to do?".Thankfully Christ has often carried me and kept my path in tune with His intentions despite my glaring imperfections. This and the spiritual fruit that ensues is what a relationship with God through Christ is all about.
5-0 out of 5 stars Scripture supports this book's content...
Bold statement? Perhaps--- since truth speaks for itself. In contradistinction to one review, I've seen nowhere in the bible where Cain is accused of sexual sin or of substance abuse. Any exegesis or etymological study does not support this supposition. It was the heart-attitude of Cain which was the "sin crouching at (his) door".

5-0 out of 5 stars 100 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace
Dr. Wayne Dyer is right on the mark with this little gem. Every page gives you something to think on, agree with, have an ah-ha moment about, or give you a goal to work toward. I was so taken with this beautiful little book that I bought 5 more to share with friends and family. I gave one to my boss on her 60th birthday. She loved it, and remarked that almost every page spoke to her in some wonderous way. I keep it on my bedside table and re-read a chapter when the spirit moves me to revisit Dr. Dyer and his infinite wisdom.

5-0 out of 5 stars Success & Inner Peace
Great little book.Small enough to stand comfortably on my desk top at work, and at all times.10 secrets of wisdom to keep me centered amidst the chaos, with full explanations of each.Keep each of the "secrets" tabbed and re-read them frequently.Good stuff."Up with the positive; out with the negative" (to quote a Manilow song).

2-0 out of 5 stars A plush book, in every sense of the word
What you get for your money: a pastel-colored book with a soft plush cover, some watercolor sketches with text on top of them, and a photo of Mr. Dyer's smiling face on the back.

4-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful message from the Kogi
Once again, Drunvalo has shared a precious jewel with us!
5-0 out of 5 stars Elegant & inspiring.
I was drawn to Drunvalo's Flower of Life teachings after being approached by a complete stranger who introduced me to them via his website.I found those volumes to be enjoyable but quite intense. On the other hand, Living in the Heart is a simple and easy book to read almost in one sitting.Yet it holds some powerful and simple observations and experiences about our world. The heart is where feelings are made manifest in our physical world, and it's our feelings that speak to the Mind of God, or the hidden field of intelligence as described by Gregg Braden (God Code, Isaiah Effect) and Lynne McTaggart (The Field). Our feelings communicate with the 99% of the energy in our world which is invisible to our eyes and ears.Following the heart reminds me of Stalking the Spirit, or following heart and gut feelings which can be an incredibly exciting journey. The times I have done it I've found myself surrounded by events and open doors my rational mind is unable to explain. If we want to change our world we must first become the feeling through prayer, rather than "thinking for" something, and then trust our creative essence.
5-0 out of 5 stars One more step
Drunvalo has done it again. This book gets straight to the point. He shares his experiences and those of others in his seminars that have reached the sacred space within the heart, and he explains the processes and techniques he uses to enter this space. Reading this book will leave you remembering something you have always known.Doing the meditations and entering the sacred place will change your life! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book
I will make this fast. This was my first Sylvia Browne Book and it had me hooked. I was excited every chance that i got to read it. It opened a few things up about dreams that i've had for years and some i've had as a child. She does not give you direct interpretation of every thing you dream but makes you find your own meaning after all we are all different. Boy some things that she stated hit me pretty hard, how i could have missed that myself. It really helped me see what my mind was telling me subconsciously in my dreams ~ and what i need to do to fix that. Now when people ask me what their dreams mean it's still hard to interpret them but it has become somewhat easier.

4-0 out of 5 stars Well informed book
This is very informative.Makes you take a look at past dreams that you've had. Very intersting about how children dream. Good book.

3-0 out of 5 stars So many dreams so little time!
I bought this book hoping to gain some insight into my dreams because I have had the most vivid sometimes crazy dreams you could possibly imagine.I give this book 3 stars because I was starting to get bored reading it.There was some interesting stuff in the book like totems which are animals in dreams that we have "chosen" as "protectors" because animals are pure spirits and most sacred to God. I had never thought of them that way in dreams before and so this book did make me look at animals and a few other things differently in my dreams. But I started to become bored with all the account stories from other people about the content of their dreams. I found myself skimming alot when another dream was told here and there. I skipped to parts I was most interested in.Some one else might not become bored, as I did, reading other people's dream accounts in the book so that is why I did not give this book less than 3 stars.I did learn a few things and will look for other souces of information on those topics. So my search moves on. I hope this review helps. ... Read more

Speak words that empower you- not words that weaken you."

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT
A fascinating journey, rich of magickal details and deep messages.
2-0 out of 5 stars Pretty, but not very Celtic
I was sucked into buying this deck due to the images. As I looked at it, I found it to be less Celtic than Wiccan. The "Lord" and "Lady" cards are just one example of their misinterpretations of Celtic lore. Courtney Davis' Celtic Tarot is far more accurate, allowing for the fact that tarot's an import into the system in the first place.

3-0 out of 5 stars great deck, bad book
I first saw this deck online at a tarot review website, and fell in love with the design and graphics.I was thrilled when I got it, and the graphics were everything I'd hoped for. It's beautiful, the mix of photography, digital art and colouring is well blended and I really love the historic landmarks they used.Read more

As a mental health counselor, I use the tools in this book with my clients and highly recommend it! Also at the PREP website is a list of PREP instructors if you need more individualized help.
