I LOVED THIS BOOK

I first became familiar with a Course in Miracles in the early 90's by attending classes for it at a Unity Church. Of course, without reading it had no real idea what it was about. Purchased the book soon after, read the text and started the workbook; but, I stopped at about lesson 100 because of a major life change. It was probably just as well because I really don't think I understood it clearly. A year ago I read Gary Renard's book "The Disappearance Of The Universe" which really brought it down to a human level. I started the workbook again (currently on lesson 268) and it has changed my life. My mind is much quieter, much more free of mindless chatter. Don't get me wrong, I still have those crazy days. I highly recommend everyone buying this book and keep it on hand for when you are ready for it.

because if you think this is the way to go, you are truly in need of it.First, a careful reading of the Bible mentions false prophets and such (after end point of the Bible) but otherwise says nothing occurs till time for "rapture" and 2nd coming.Unless you want to claim we're in second coming, people who hear from Jesus are either deluded or false prophets.You are free to decide which.On that basis, however, the ideas espoused in the book are either pointless,useless (if delusional), or meant to pull people to the Anti-C if false prophecy.Again, your decision. The Course and Marianne
I have known and known of Marianne Williamson for several years, and know of the inner battles she had until she discovered the Course on Miracles. I believe this book is good for those who have lost sight of our purpose on Earth, and those who may need a swift kick of unconditional love to get them on the right path.Much like Louise Hay, Rayna Gangi, Andrew Weil, and others, Marianne tries to show us that love is possible, necessary, and expected.

A must read for the Course student
I don't know of a better resource for the serious ACIM student than this book. While not a quick and easy read (like the Course itself) the student is brought closer to understanding the metaphysics of the Course as well as avoiding mistakes common to all Course students.

"The Message of A Course In Miracles" is a two-volume set
A COURSE IN MIRACLES says, "The name of Jesus as such is but a symbol. But it stands for a love that is not of this world." The Course also says that, "A Symbol must stand for something other than itself." Further, the Course says, "Words are symbols of symbols, thus they are twice removed from reality." In Course theory, reality is a non-specific, completely abstract state where no time, no form, and no individual identity exist. A thorough, very helpful two volumes for Course students

Spiritual ideas in an understandable format

Excellent resource
For anyone who is a student of the Course in Miracles, or if you just happen to believe that the basic principles of CIM are worth integrating into your lifestyle, this book is a great resource. The concepts are brief but clear. My husband and I have worn out our first copy, and we keep extra copies around to give as gifts.

I was surprised
I bought this book some time ago and never read it. All the hoopla turned me off (you know, Oprah and the like- I DO love Oprah, but she often picks such trying stories). Today I sat down with EveryDay Grace and pretty soon I was looking for a pencil to mark passages I want to find again. WOW. I wasn't expecting this little book to have messages I've been needing to hear. Of course, timing is everything, but I wouldn't pass on this book if you are looking for a way to connect your spiritual life with your everyday life.
High Spirits and Optimism for Our Future

This is truly a very special book.I have bought quite a few just for presents.It is great for anyone who is already a student of "A course in Miracles" or if they just want to get a glimpse at what it is really all about.The introduction alone by Marianne Williamson is worth the price of the book.It also would be a terrific book for anyone who is thinking about joining a Study Group for the Course.The book is edited by two people who have been students of the Course for many years and it is their favorite sections put together in a very special way.A must read!!!!

This helped me with understanding ACIM

Awaken To Your Own Call
I found this book when I was looking for a synopsis of The Course in Miracles to see if I wanted to spend the time reading it. Awaken to your own call is beautifully written and very concisely conveys the information in a way I did not experience from reading the actual text of A Course in Miracles. If I had not read Jon Mundy's book first I never would have understood A Course in Miracles! A very easy and pleasant read
I like this book because it is very "user-friendly." Anyone familiar with Course theory will know that the Course can often be very "heady." The Course is not an easy thought system to grasp, even for those of us who have been studying it for years (I'm in my fifth year of study, now). The story behind A COURSE IN MIRACLES, how it was "scribed" and published, may be as startling as the Course theory itself (the Course is founded on the teaching that the world is an illusion made by the ego as an attack on God). I had heard vague information about "A Course in Miracles" some 18 years ago. I was curious but never really followed up on it. Then, I came across this book a few years ago and it is an amazing miraculous story.The odd thing is that Dr. Helen Schucman experienced a life long struggle with faith in God and never truly believed in what she had received from this inner voice. Yet The Course has changed countless lives. If you are at all curious about The Course, I suggest you read this book before starting any study.It is not only inspiring but it gives so much credibility to the whole thing.

Tom is a wonderful teacher
Tom expresses the clarity of truth in the Course in beautiful ways.I found his book, as well as his teaching and his presence, most helpful and healing when I was privileged to spend time with him and Linda, his wife, a wonderful counselor in her own right. Yes, it really IS this simple!
I've been on what I call my "spiritual path" for 13 years, and the foundation of my life is A Course in Miracles. If you had trouble understanding the Course, because of the way it was worded, read"Dialogue on Awakening..." You won't be confused anymore. Thisbook covers it all, but it definitely challenges our beliefs about the waya spiritual path works.

The Common Sense of Love
I've read all of Joan's works and I find them and her to be "on point" with regard to human relationships--be they intimate or familial.The temptation is to negate Ms. Gatuso's findings because he doesn't mention any "professional" credentials (whatever those are). The fact that most find the book too artistic is (by and large) a justification for the books existence.If there is anyone looking for simple ways of finding the love that is inside each of us (without the expense of therapy or prescription drugs) this book is a must read. Indeed, you will find it so useful that you will want to read it more than once.

Read "a course in miracles" as a prerequisite to this book."A course in miracles" is the dusty, 19th century folk-art/religious cult of Millard and Myrtle Fillmore,a typical pre-Freudian, highly artistic interperatation of Man and God.
